JERALD (JERRY) RUSHMORE, the founder of Major Pipeline L.L.C. received a B.S. Business degree from Ferris State College in 1968 and began his career in the energy field with Michigan Consolidated Gas that same year. Over the 20 year career at MichCon, Jerry served in various capacities including: Field Engineer, Construction Superintendent, Director of Construction Activities, General Manager of Utility Operations, and Director of Production, Transmission and Storage. During this period, Mr. Rushmore directed a work force of up to 370 employees.

In 1985, Mr. Rushmore accepted the position of President of Energy Production Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – and later that year – started what is now known as Major Pipeline L.L.C. In 1987, while fostering the development of Major Pipeline, Jerry also served as Senior Vice President for Consolidated Fuel Corporation in Dallas, Texas, and was a minority owner of that company. Consolidated Fuel Corporation was a Natural Gas Marketing firm with offices throughout the United States. Consolidated Fuel Corporation was acquired in 1992, prompting Mr. Rushmore to devote his full efforts to expanding the scope and development of Major Pipeline.

In starting and developing the concept of Major Pipeline (a pure Mid-Stream company before the “Mid-Stream” Industry had ever been coined), the goal was to use our expertise to build and operate facilities in the Natural Gas business. Due in large part to Jerry’s long career and substantial knowledge of the industry, this has proven to be a successful strategy.

Mr. Rushmore resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife.
